My work is in sustainable rural development with Native American tribal communities in the Ozark foothills of eastern Oklahoma. I'm a grampa to five grandsons and a granddaughter... travel frequently to the Gulf Coast of Texas and the Blue Ridge of Virginia to stay involved in their lives. I garden, study and practice Vipassana meditation, read the works of Wendell Berry, Mary Oliver and many other poets of the American landscape. With retirement on the horizon, I'm hoping to add day-hiking and meditation retreats in Colorado and New Mexico to that agenda.
