my life has been changed forever by a stroke in 2006 although i am only 48 years old; this has taught =me that life is precious and can change in an instant and brings new meaning for me in the phrase-CARPE DIEM; we take so much for granted when we are healthy- simple things like being able to stand when one showers; llucily i have my speech, menory and cognition; however, i am not defined by my stroke and my prognosis is good i am learning to "walk' again
