I am a Ph.D. research chemist extremely interested in developing advanced solar energy technologies. I believe solar power can solve a myriad of our social and economic problems. In particular, I have a vision of a hydrogen economy where the hydrogen fuel is generated directly from solar energry and water using an advanced nanotechnology solar electrode. I believe this will be a reality in the next few years. Already this technology is almost in the pilot plant stage. The dream is to generate the hydrogen extremely cheaply and ship it in pipelines or compress it and ship it by tanker. Another dream of mine is to create an alternative energy research and demonstration center in the Southern California Desert where abundant wind resources and wind turbine farms and geothermal plants already exist. In addition, of course, our deserts here have abundant sunshine. As for me personally, I love hiking, world travel, photography of my local desert areas, and meeting with friends in ethnic restaurants. I am a passionate follower of a vegan (plus fish) eating lifestyle and do sprint interval training four times per week and weight training to develop my cardiovascular health. Of Jewish origin, I love the humor, history, Israel, and my own personal version of Jewish/Hebrew spirituality. I am an avid follower of The Secret and try to incorporate it's teachings in everything I do, feel and think about. I'm married, no children, but adore our grandnieces and nephews and babysit them whenever possible.
