Dr. Craig Zelizer is Associate Director of the MA in Conflict Resolution within the Department of Government at Georgetown University conflictresolution.georgetown.edu.

He is also the founder of the Peace and Collaborative Development Networking Site internationalpeaceandconflict.org The site is a free network with over 4700 memberes, for individuals interested in and working on issues of conflict to share experiences, connect and access resources. His areas of expertise include working with youth from violent conflict regions, civil society development and capacity building in transitional societies, program evaluation and design, working on conflict sensitivity and mainstreaming across development sectors, the connection between trauma and conflict, the role of the private sector in peacebuilding, and arts and peacebuilding.

He has worked extensively throughout Central and Eastern Europe and Latin America with civil society groups, educators, youth leaders, etc. To date he has worked in over 14 countries, helped train hundreds of individuals in conflict resolution processes and facilitated several long-term dialogue processes.

He was one of the co-founders and a senior partner in the Alliance for Conflict Transformation (www.conflicttransformation), a leading non-profit organization dedicated to building peace through innovative research and practice. Mr. Zelizer has taught as an Adjunct Faculty at the Institute of Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University where he completed his doctorate in 2004.

He also serves on the Editorial Board of the African Peace and Conflict Journal, which was recently launched by the University of Peace/Africa Program.
