Hmmm...a 3000 character limit. First I must say that I tend to squirm under limitations and typically push the boundaries typically set. It isn't that I am some rebel but I find boundaries rarely define people, especially me. My opinions vary and due to this I do not belong to any specific political entity as I tend to vote according to my conscience, ethics, or on specific issues I hold important. I am a real person with real things to say, encourage healthy banter and appreciate people that cause me to think. Commentary is the communication which expands our minds and encourages thought. You will not find me to be a person which looks at things as merely black and white but appreciates the numerous shades of grey in between. I am educated yet you will not see me flashing fancy credentials or beautifully framed degrees. I tend to appreciate anyone with a genuine thought process, meaning a degree does not guarantee that the holder has accomplished anything more than being awarded a paper for reaching a "minimal" standard. It is my belief that America needs to rethink and evaluate what they deem is a valuable education. Credibility is earned on an individual basis with me and is not simply awarded. Many overlook the fact that great experience cannot be bought or traded as it is earned often by blood, sweat and tears. It was on those blood. sweat and tears that our nation was founded and it will be the only factor which may save us now. While these last paragraphs paint me as possibly very opinionated I must admit that it is always my goal to encourage thought. I am a very cheeky redhead which is as prone to being serious as I am to being ridiculously funny. My humor is often my sword. While many are busy laughing they often later realize that not only did I make them laugh but also think. Humor and words are powerful forces which I attempt to work with as an artist does on a canvas. Being human at times I am very successful and at times I miss my mark. I encourage input in order to grow and appreciate any insight that may make me better at my craft. I am a woman, a veteran of the USAF, a wife and mother. During my life I have had a successful 20 year career in medicine. I have written curricula and done some editing for medical periodicals. An injury took my medical career but I do not let it define me as I am even more active today than I was prior to my injury. Currently I am a full-time college student repeating every class I took while in the military. Why? Because colleges all over America are allowed to disregard a military transcript, even laugh at it, and insist you repeat everything. I am working with The American Legion to draft legislation which demands any college receiving gov't funds MUST take a veterans military transcripts and give them equal credits for what they have already earned. Please share that information and assist me in this cause. At a time in my life that I thought I would be planning my retirement, I am instead spending those funds to go to college. You will find articles written by me for Teamsugar.com and divinecaroline.com under the name "cheekyredhead" as I am that...one very cheeky redhead. I am very real, I highly value genuine people, and appreciate those that inspire me.
