Since 2000 I have lived and worked in Africa, South America and the United States. In more than four years in Peru, I've developed small business and conservation initiatives that incorporate tourism in rural communities located in the mountains, jungle and coast of Peru. As a Peace Corps volunteer and coordinator, I researched, wrote and presented feasibility plans for “coffee tourism” and “adventure conservation” adventure service tourism initiatives.
I worked as the Adventure Conservation Program Coordinator for ProNaturaleza, supported team members in Peru, promoted their programs in the US, and currently manage http://www.AdventureServiceTourism.com & promote programs in Peru and Ecuador. As a member of Xola Consulting, we provide business consulting services for the Adventure Travel Industry. Currently I serve as the Executive Director of WAVES for Development International, Inc. http://www.WAVESfordevelopment.org
I have a Masters of Science Degree in Organizational Management from the School for International Training, 2006 and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Colorado State University, 2000.
