I'm a college student majoring in social work with a minor in music. I do a lot of service in the community with people in different situations, and sometimes it's hard to stay optamistic about circumstances and life in general when you see so many people hurting on a daily basis. Then I encounter a person (especially children) who actually smiles because they find hope in what I or others have to say or the help we give and that just makes my day as well. They help me see that there is hope in the world and it isn't all violence, disease and hatred. There's still love out there and as long as those of us who see it don't lose sight of it we'll still make a difference. :)
