I have a Ph.D. in cognitive psychology. I like to write poetry. Frankly, I'm not sure that I buy into the whole spirituality concept that ode magazine promotes. Some of the articles provide interesting perspectives, while some of the articles are nonsense. Certainly one can be an intelligent optimist, but some of the articles contain too much optimism, and not enough intelligence. However, I would like to make the world a better place to live in, and I support that aspect of the magazine. Spirituality has its place, but I wish the scientific perspective were more adequately represented in the magazine.
