Laura Portalupi

I lived in Luxembourg as a child and attended an international school, which helped shape my interest in cross-cultural exchange. I have bachelor degrees in English and French from Miami University. I just completed two years in South Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer, and before that I was a graduate candidate for an MFA in poetry. I've worked in the field of educational publishing and spent time teaching English in France and Ghana. In addition to poetry and international travel, my interests include animals, hiking, photography, foreign films, and good vegetarian food. Now that I have finished one adventure, I am seeking the next--hopefully in the field of animal welfare.
