Check out her website: http://www.brigidmarshall.webs.com Brigid Marshall studied at the University of Iowa, better known as the "Writing University," and graduated in May 2008 with bachelors degrees in English and Journalism. Her journalism degree was accompanied with honors. Brigid interned at Ode Magazine from July-November 2008. Ode's affinity for all things passionate, people-oriented and possible, plus it's attention to news stories which reflect the many things that are going right in what is often seen as a downtrodden world attracted her to the monthly publication. Before her time at Ode, the 22-year-old worked as a staff reporter for Iowa City's only local newspaper, The Daily Iowan, on the arts and culture beat. For three years she worked as a disc jockey and music reviewer at KRUI 89.7, and as a KRUI radio reporter with The Daily Iowan's weekly program, "80 Hours ON-AIR." She was instrumental as an executive editor and managing director at Iowa City's Content Magazine, a creative literary publication, and catapult the small black-and-white pamphlet it was into a full-fledged color copy magazine. Brigid now lives in the Chicago metro area working as a freelance writer and editor. When not reporting on the world, Brigid's seeing it. She has traveled to Thailand, Costa Rica, Mexico, Canada, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, the Netherlands, England, Italy, Germany, and Vatican City—along with 30 of the the United States. It's her favorite pastime. So far her best adventure is a toss up between her voyage to Thailand and skydiving in Las Vegas, Nevada.
