I'm the founding director of the Puget Sound Community School, an independent school in Seattle’s International District for students in grades 6-12. With my wife and a group of dedicated parents, I started the school in 1994 to create a model for a new kind of education that helps students build on their strengths and nurtures their intrinsic motivation. The school is personalized to bring out the best in each individual student. I also facilitate online classes on the subject on kindness. These classes are designed to provide people meaningful experiences that help them feel good by considering and acting on the concept of kindness.
