Homemade Christmas Gifts

There are several reasons why I don't like shopping for Christmas gifts. For one, I near sudden panic attacks when I get too close to the mall anytime after Thanksgiving due to all the crowds. Second, I don't feel like Christmas should be about the price tag of a gift. I also have a had time saving money to buys gifts for all my friends and family. Last but not least, I think the best gifts are the ones that come from the heart.

I would like to make some homemade gifts and am hoping I will get some inspiration from Ode Readers. Any ideas on what to make this year?


GROUP MESSAGES:

I started a month ago knitting market bags and cotton washcloths for my siblings and good friends, and scarves for my nieces. Seems like a healthy use of my hands and some cheap cotton yarn -- good for me, good for the environment, and I think (finally), I'll have a gift they all like.
