Waves for peace

Peace is like a baby we wanted to be born and grow in our lives. It has growth stages nurtured like a child's with love and care, wisdom and faith. This peace process and outcome is what we really need and want in our lives made more meaningful.

Do we look for wisdom to nurture peace by knowledge? We realize it’s not what we know that gives peace. It’s in the wisdom of contradictions when we react to situations in unloving ways, by judgments and preconceived ideas, without seeking the truth that lies behind biases. Wisdom to find peace is in forgiveness, of ourselves for mistakes and not persecute ourselves and others with what we can’t change in the past but in the present with new-found courage.

Do we sit in faith with our religious affiliations? To start the search for a place to sit and be still. We realize that faith sits with wisdom, knowing what is and what is not sitting with knowledge, aligned and sometimes against. Faith sits in the wisdom believing that everything happens for a purpose. That each event in our lives are dots that connect to show our life picture. Sometimes we feel that a dot is an end. When we look deeper, one dot leads to another to show us the path.

Do we find peace from outside of us? People we expect to give it to us? Our environment? As we find inner locus of control, we find the KEY TO PEACE: LOVE. When we love ourselves enough, nurture body, heart, mind & spirit, we connect freely to situations not repelling the gift of presence in our lives, WE LOVE OTHERS. By faith, we know all things come to pass; wisdom sifts situations & people through our lives. What aligns will stay; what doesn't will stray.

Love is all-encompassing; the compass pointing to the true North; the route to finding truth about ourselves, who love us, who we love in return or we fail to. In the winds of harmony and contradiction, we find inner strength. As we make choices to harmonize, we find wisdom. We strengthen our faith in what we don't see yet -- dreams, people we trust and champion, goals we work on, God that we latch on our lives with. As we strengthen faith, we deepen knowledge that love is not what we seek to receive, but OUR GIFT OF PRESENCE; NOT BECAUSE THEY DESERVE US. BUT THEY DESERVE TO BE LOVED AS MUCH AS WE WANT TO LOVE THEM, even if we don't see yet what tells us we’re loved in return. God gives it back equivalent to or even more than what we gave.

As we nurture peace like a child, we discover the child within. Love doesn't keep score of who-did-what-to- whom and how or why. Love doesn't see ugliness, only beauty. Love finds peace in loving as a child. The adult in us finds the reason we love; allows us to have peace in who we love and loves us back.

We recover our innocence in PEACE. Gary Robert Schwenn, USA Co-Founder, Waves for Peace. Grace D. Rallos, Founder, Philippines. For women and children VICTORS to psychological recovery, from violence to financial wellness. It’s the beginning. We’re getting there.
