Life driven by theory

I have been thinking about what to write next for Ode. I have been playing with several things I have experienced or seen recently. But when trying to write something I found myself lacking a specific conclusion or goal in the story. The writing seemed a blurry, messy thing without direction, something not well defined. Which I, and most others, find annoying to read.

One focused message that I was able to draw from this mess is that the mind always asks us for a conclusion, a message or idea of what is true. It has to be short and easy to remember so that the world makes sense. This is kind of contrary to what the world actually is, the world isn’t fittable in a two sentence formula. Unconsciously we always let ourselves be run by a theory (or feeling, which is basically the same) and if one is not convincingly there we feel totally lost. We are addicted to theories and think we are right and important and in control if we have one that we believe in.

I don’t want to give you another theory for you to understand the world, but by writing this I am ironically giving you another one. The moments I feel bliss are when I can (partially) go beyond theories and not try to define and rank things. The world suddenly turns a warm, lovely and fuzzy place without distinct boundaries between otherwise clearly separate entities. The air fills with light and love and I feel amazing for no obvious reason. When I try to fit it into a manageable theory, so I can harness it, it leaves me as fast as it can… Love, Luca

That's the beauty of resting in Oneness, Luca - it needs no thoughts/emotions/mind, but is as is. Can't be owned by the mind, but is closer than breath - and doesn't need 'you/me' to be there at all! In fact, 'you/I'have to be absent for this to be seen - by no-one - amazing!

With Love.
