Totally unique thoughts for peace

This arrived in my email box this week.

“When you understand, Susan, that your disappointment in another's behavior or choices always stems from their immaturity, or yours, rather than their unkindness, or yours, it becomes much harder not to keep skipping through life, giddy with joy, smelling the flowers.

“Moreover, when you understand that with enough maturity on your end you can always find peace in all of your relationships {italics mine}, it becomes much harder not to run down the street kissing everyone you meet on both cheeks.

Kiss, kiss,
The Universe”

Do you know about Mike Dooley’s Totally Unique Thoughts from the Universe? If you’re intrigued, visit: www.tut.com, and sign up for his Notes from the Universe.

I liked what he said about relationships. Glitches are caused by my immaturity not my unkindness or anyone else’s either. All I need is maturity to find peace in all of my relationships.

I think this is absolutely true for all people at all times. Maturity, a larger perspective, compassion, care, gentleness are all ways to say the same thing.

Can I always take the larger view? Sure I can.
Do I? Aye, there’s the rub.
But could I choose it if I wanted to? Sure.
And what happens when I blow it? I get to choose maturity again.

To paraphrase Mike Dooley, “Choose, choose, and choose again. The Universe”

I have signed up for Mike Dooley's daily notes. They always seem to be 'right on' for that particular day and always make me smile, and usually make me think!

Dear walkingtree, Grasping, strangely, is a function of letting go! In the same way that rainbows come from the interaction of rain and light. Without the rain, no rainbow. Thanks for commenting, Susan Corso
